How are most Ohio securities fraud cases resolved?

A: Most brokerage firms require investors to sign paperwork that contains an arbitration provision, which states that future disputes must be resolved in securities arbitration rather than litigation.  It can be difficult to find a broker who will work with you unless you are willing to agree to the arbitration provision.

When you consult an Ohio securities fraud attorney, one of the first things your lawyer will do is review your broker agreement to determine if you have contractually agreed to arbitration.  If arbitration is included in your contract, your lawyer will zealously advocate for your recovery within the arbitration process.

The largest arbitration forum is run by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), which oversees about 4,550 brokerage firms.  An experienced Ohio securities fraud lawyer from the law firm of Meyer Wilson can represent an investor before FINRA or another arbitration forum.

It is important to remember that arbitration does not preclude you from recovering money for securities fraud.  Our lawyers have a proven track record and have recovered millions of dollars in arbitration on behalf of our clients.
